Your Sin

  1. Identify the Sin

    2. In the orange sections below, click on any area that God is dealing with you about or anything you struggle with.

  1. Confess to God

    2. Talk to God about it and confess each sin to Him by name, admitting you are wrong and asking for forgiveness.

  1. Confess to Man

    2. Talk to those who need to know about the sins that God is dealing with you about. Be specific.

  1. Forsake the Sin

    2. Don't just talk about it; make the changes needed so that this matter doesn't happen again.

  1. Read the Verses

    2. Take time to look up and read the verse references under the topics below. View the sin as God does.

  1. Think about the Verses

    2. Don't just read the verses; spend time thinking about what the words and phrases actually mean.

  1. Personalize the Verses

    2. Write down the verses in your own words. Try to make them as personal to your situation as possible.

  1. Memorize the Verses

    2. Don't just read and think about the verses; learn the verses so you can say them by heart.

Depend
on Jesus

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.... For without me ye can do nothing.

  1. Admit Your Weakness

    2. Be honest about your weakness. Tell God that you can't obey without His strength to help you.

  1. Recognize God's Strength

    2. Read about God's ability to do the impossible through you. Your weakness is only half of the story.

  1. Declare Your Dependence

    2. Tell God that you will no longer rely upon your own strength to obey, but on His. Be specific.

  1. Step Out and Obey

    2. Don't just say it; step out of the boat and do what God has told you to do, relying on His strength!
